1894 SBL 357MAG

The Ruger-built Marlin 1894 SBL in .357 Magnum is the modern stainless-steel reinterpretation of one of America's most beloved lever-action carbines. Manufactured by Ruger after their acquisition of the Marlin brand, the new 1894 SBL pairs the proven 1894 short-action lever architecture with a 16.1" stainless barrel, gray laminate stock, large lever loop for gloved hands, and an XS Sights ghost-ring rear sight on a Picatinny optics rail. The .357 Magnum chambering also runs .38 Special, making the SBL one of the most versatile carbines in production.

The 1894 action is widely considered the smoothest factory lever action in production short, positive, and forgiving and Ruger-era manufacturing has tightened tolerances throughout. The stainless construction resists weather and is well-suited to outdoors carry, ranch use, and any application where corrosion is a concern. The combination of pistol-caliber chambering, ghost ring sights, and Picatinny optics rail makes this carbine equally at home as a defensive long gun, a small-game and predator rifle, or a fun-shooting trail companion.
